Christine Quinn has relived the horror of finding out her newborn baby’s umbilical chord was wrapped around his neck.
The reality star, who became a mum for the first time last month, has opened up about her son’s birth – revealing that she felt “traumatised” after having to undergo an emergency C-section.
Speaking to new! the realtor explained that her baby “had such a critical time period to get out” and that “the umbilical chord was wrapped around him” admitting that the whole experience “was scary”.
The Netflix star and her husband, entrepreneur Christian Richard welcomed their child, Christian Georges Dumontet into the world on 15 May – just 22 minutes after they arrived at the hospital in their Lamborghini.
The new mum confessed: “I was traumatised. Christian was trying to tell me what had happened and I was like, ‘Nope – I don’t want to hear it, tell me when I’m out of the hospital.’ It was too soon.”
In what Christine described as the “the quickest birth ever”, both her and her baby’s heart were dropping because she was in “so much pain”.
In a candid admission the Netflix star also revealed that doctors were “vacuuming my vagina”. Referring to her co-star Maya Vander she said: “Maya had this done but she had an epidural and said it was the most painful thing ever and I said ‘Girl they were trying to trying to vacuum my vagina before they even put me under!'”
Christine, 32, who had been snapped on the MTV Movie & TV Awards red carpet just 48 hours told new! that she wants more children, but admitted that it could be a while before it happens as she needs to feel comfortable getting pregnant again.
The outspoken star shot to fame on Netflix smash hit Selling Sunset in which high-end estate agents document their glamorous lives in Los Angeles.
Addressing the criticism she said: “I’m like, ‘Listen, my husband’s amazing. He’s home, the baby’s sleeping, what’s the difference?’ For me, I love to work. There are single moms out there every single day working two, three jobs, doing it,” she explained.
And the reality star is “happy” to be back at her job and enjoys balancing her home life and career.
She told E! News’ Daily Pop: “Women are so strong and they can do it. For me, I’m happy to be working. I’m thrilled to have a job and I’m thrilled to have a baby and be able to do it all.”
