Here’s What Kyrie Irving Drives

When we talk about cars that the top basketball players own, we’d think of the flashiest cars that money can buy. Most of these stars love to dominate both on and off the court, so what are they driving? NBA players have extraordinary car collections, from American muscle cars to rare classic luxury vehicles.

Since Kyrie’s arrival into the NBA in 2011, he has already made millions by playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. In 2019, the Point Guard landed a contract with the Brooklyn Nets that pays him a massive salary of $34 million per year. Kyrie is a player who has seen it all, from his first Ferrari to Jeep commercials to owning a set of Audi R8s. He’s even admitted that he has been into cars all of his life.

Let us take a closer look at what Kyrie drives around when he’s off the court.

2014 Jeep Wrangler

NBA sports stars always enjoy big and luxurious cars with a roomy garage. In 2014, Kyrie appeared in a few commercials with Jeep. The commercials were impeccable, tying in the USA, basketball, and Jeep firmly all around. He couldn’t resist getting his hands on one of them. The 2014 Jeep Wrangler is believed to cost about $30,500. It’s the perfect SUV to cruise with 285 horsepower, taking 8.6 seconds to reach from 0-60 mph. Kyrie has even been spotted on a couple of occasions driving his old Jeep.

The Audi R8 is one of the exotic rides that Kyrie drives. In fact, one can not go wrong with the Audi R8. Kyrie has been spotted with his black Audi R8 in his home state, New Jersey. He does love the R8’s power and speed. Since Irving is fond of sports cars, he owns not one but two Audi R8s, one in stock black color and the other is white. He must seriously love them to get a second one! Also, both supercars are expected to cost around $140,000. The Audi R8 delivers 602 horsepower with its V-10 engine that launches the car from 0-60 mph in just four seconds and is capable of a 200 mph top speed! Not too ragged for the Nets guard.

Ferrari 458 Italia

Irving is not afraid to make a statement with his supercars. His Ferrari 458 Italia is the ultimate statement of luxury. This Ferrari is a powerful toy custom-built to the boot. Irving once took a test drive of a Ferrari 458 when he was playing for the Duke University Blue Devils. Irving went to a racetrack and fell in love with this vigorous red speedster. The Ferrari 458 was the first car he bought while he was playing with the Cavaliers. The F1-inspired Ferrari 458’s engine yields nearly 570 horsepower when the needle touches 9,000 rpm. Ferrari’s 4.5-liter V8 engine generates 400 lb-ft of torque, and this supercar takes 3.4 seconds to go from 0-60 mph. The 458’s production was held between 2009 and 2015, and the price of a 2015 model was about $243,000.

Lamborghini Aventador and Aventador SV Roadster

Probably one of the most elite of the NBA player’s cars, Kyrie Irving owns two dashing Lamborghinis – the Aventador and the Aventador SV Roadster. Irving and his teammate Timofey Mozgov are ecstatic fans of sports cars. They were ultimately looking into acquiring the Lamborghini and went out for a ride in this power-packed beast, and surprisingly Kyrie got himself not one but two Lamborghini Aventadors.

The most noticeable differences between the two supercars are the giant wings, diffuser, and plenty of carbon fiber imposed onto the rear end of the Aventador SV. Also, the SV seems to get more extensive air vents, which increases the performance version’s demand. The SV version of the V12 engine harvests 740 horsepower, 50 horsepower more than the standard Aventador. In terms of speed, the SV Roadster takes 2.8 seconds to reach from 0-60 mph. In comparison, the standard Aventador takes 2.9 seconds for the same. The price of the 2017 SV Roadster was nearly $470,000, and the standard Aventador costs $407,000.

It is pretty evident from these cars that Kyrie Irving has put together a neat collection of cars for his garage.
