The latest and final trailer for the new James Bond film is the actor’s last movie in the franchise.

“No Time To Die” is the latest installment in the long-running secret agent adventure of Ian Fleming’s James Bond.  The new movie, scheduled for theatrical release on Oct. 8, is said to be Daniel Craig’s last outing as James Bond.

The 53-year-old English actor first took on the James Bond mantle in 2008 with “Quantum of Solace” then followed with “Skyfall” back in 2012. Craig’s most successful outing as Bond was “Spectre” in 2015.

“No Time To Die” finds Bond retired and living a peaceful life in Jamaica with Madeleine Swann (played by Lea Seydoux). He is pulled back into the world of espionage and when his friend Felix Leiter of the CIA (played by West World actor Jeffrey Wright) asks him for help. The mission eventually leads Bond on a head-on collision with a high-tech terrorist named Safin played by Oscar-award winning actor Rami Malek.

Actors Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Ben Wishaw reprise their roles as M, Moneypenny and Q respectively. Christoph Waltz also returns as Bond’s old nemesis Blofeld.

Actress Lashana Lynch plays Nomi, the Mi6 agent who has taken over Bond’s 007 title. And Ana de Armas plays the eye-candy intelligence operative who helps Bond in the mission.

And what is a James Bond trailer without the action and nifty gadgetry? The new trailer prominently features Bond’s classic silver Aston Martin DB5. The car got roughed up pretty good and at one point was surrounded in a hail of automatic gunfire. Of course, the Aston Martin is treated with  Q’s amazing customizations that came with bullet proof windshields and windows, gatling guns that come out of the headlights and the classic smokescreen to cover Bond’s escape from the bad guys. Later in the trailer, we see Bond with Nomi who inherited the 007 title in a sleek glider with retractable wings dropping out a C-130 Hercules type aircraft.

A documentary titled “Being James Bond” which chronicles Daniel Craig’s run as James Bond since his start in Casino Royale is slated for a September 7 premier on Apple TV.

“No Time To Die” is directed by Cary Jo Fukunaga with a script written by Fukunuga with Bond vets Neal Purvis and Robert Wade and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

“No Time To Die” was delayed for more than a year due to the pandemic. The movie is now scheduled for international cinematic release on Sept. 30 and on Oct. 8 in the US.
