HR Owen has officially moved into its new Bentley Motors luxury car dealership in Surrey ahead of the April 12 return of customers following COVID-19 ‘Lockdown 3’.
The AM100 car retail group moves to the new Ripley site from its previous site in Byfleet to benefit from a 0.7-acre location capable of displaying 30 new and used vehicles.
It is the latest investment by HR Owen, following multiple new showroom announcements and renovations of existing sites over the past year and last month’s announcement that it had begun development of a 5.4-acre Bentley, Lamborghini and Maserati supercar dealership megacentre in Hatfield.
Chief executive Ken Choo shared his optimism about the move out of the group’s London heartland in an exclusive interview with AM back in January.
Among the new cars to be displayed at the new Bentley Surrey dealership are the Flying Spur and New Bentayga Hybrid, and HR Owen said in a statement that the new site allowed “greater flexibility” for customers to explore their next purchase.

A statement issued by HR Owen said: “From the very inception of this new site, it was designed as a welcoming destination for Bentley owners and automotive enthusiasts alike.
“Customers will be treated to a spacious and luxurious showroom experience and the local community of Bentley enthusiasts and car lovers will find a brand new event space on their doorstep.
“Bentley Surrey will become a real hub of activity week-in, week-out, with pop-up food and drink, the latest new cars and a friendly, welcoming team of Bentley Surrey staff to show you around.”
The group was also keen to highlight the dealership’s location, which places it close to some key locations in the brand’s history.
It said: “HR Owen Bentley Surrey remains close to the iconic Brooklands racing circuit, just a 15-minute drive away.
“Sir Henry Birkin famously set a record of nearly 138mph at Brooklands in Bentley Blower No.1 during 1932, while the namesake of HR Owen’s Jack Barclay Bentley showroom – the world’s oldest – also won at Brooklands in a Bentley during 1929.”
