‘No Time to Die’ Inspires Exclusive 2022 Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Edition


James Bond has a license to kill. The new 2022 Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Edition is its own license to drive, to explore and to have adventures.

Ahead of the world premiere of the latest Bond film installment, “No Time to Die”, Land Rover has revealed the special 110 edition model, which features nods to the iconic movie franchise. Land Rover’s SV Bespoke vehicle customization division will take the helm crafting a limited number of the vehicles.

“The Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Edition is an exclusive take on the most powerful production Defender ever made, inspired by vehicles on screen in No Time To Die. It represents a meeting of two great British brands and is a unique celebration of Land Rover’s 38-year association with James Bond,” said Finbar McFall, Land Rover brand director.

The 2022 Defender V8 Bond Edition wears an Extended Black Pack with 22-inch Luna Gloss Black alloy wheels, Xenon Blue front brake calipers and a ‘Defender 007’ badge. Its interior features ‘Defender 007’ treadplates, a specially designed start-up animation that features Bond graphics and ‘007’ puddle lamp graphics.

Land Rover will be selling just 300 versions of the Defender V8 Bond Edition globally. Each model is commemorated with an interior laser etching detail that says ‘one of 300’ as well as the SV Bespoke logo.

The SUV is powered by the same supercharged 5.0-liter engine that is traditional to the Defender V8. It makes 518 horsepower and 461 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Edition is priced from $114,600.

U.S. cinemas will being showing ‘No Time to Die’ starring Daniel Craig on October 8, 2021. Two Range Rover Sport SVR vehicles star alongside Defender models and Craig in the film. A Range Rover Classic and Land Rover Series III are also on screen.

Aston Martin vehicles also make an appearance in the movie.
