Three men, between the ages of 23 and 31, were placed under arrest for stock theft after stealing a goat in the Lotus Park area, earlier this week.

On Wednesday at about 1:15pm, the eThekwini District Trio Task Team, Umlazi SAPS and Metro Police were conducting their routine operations.

Provincial police spokeswoman, Col Themebeka Mbele, said, “While they were travelling on Mayibuye Drive in Q Section, they spotted a vehicle travelling at a high speed and they became suspicious. The said vehicle was chased and it was intercepted near a service station. Upon searching the vehicle, the police found a goat in the boot of the vehicle.”

The investigation conducted by police revealed that the goat was stolen at Lotus Park.

The men were due to appear in court on Thursday.
