These Are The Coolest Cars In Shmee150’s Car Collection

If you love watching automotive content on YouTube, you’ve probably come across a couple of videos by the Shmee150 channel. The man behind the famous channel is Tim Burton, aka Shmee — a British entrepreneur and gearhead whose deep love for cars prompted him to start the YouTube channel in 2010.

Shmee makes some of the most entertaining automotive content on YouTube, which explains why he currently has more than 2 million subscribers. Over the years, Shmee has made a small fortune from his brand and other ventures, part of which he likes to spend on some incredible sports cars — he calls them ‘Shmeemobiles.’ Let’s explore ten of the best cars Shmee owns.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S

“Electric cars are the future” is a phrase that we’ve heard for the past few years. Like other automotive journalists, Shmee has realized that the phrase is accurate, which is why he decided to buy one of the best electric sports cars on the market — the Porsche Taycan Turbo S.

The Taycan is Porsche’s first series production electric car, and it has already shown that the German marque is ready to dominate the electric sports car market, as it has done in the gas-powered market for decades. The top-of-the-range Taycan Turbo S comes with two electric motors supplying 751 hp and 774 lb-ft of torque to all wheels, making it superfast.

Aston Martin Vantage GT8

Being British, Shmee has always been a huge fan of Aston Martin and its cars. As such, he decided to buy one of the most track-focused Astons available — the Vantage GT8.

The Vantage GT8 was introduced in 2016 to replace the GT12. Aston Martin built just 150 examples, all of which were sold out almost immediately. The GT8 comes with an upgraded version of the base Vantage’s 4.7-liter V8 producing 440 hp, giving it a 190-mph top speed.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series

Shmee is a huge Mercedes-Benz fan. In fact, six of the 18 cars he currently owns are built by Mercedes-Benz. One of them is the SLS AMG Black Series, a fantastic grand tourer that looks amazing and sounds even better.

Introduced in 2013, the Black Series high-performance variant of the SLS AMG. The Black Series comes with a 6.2-liter M159 V8 engine tuned to produce 622 hp and 468 lb-ft of torque. It is 154 lbs lighter than the standard SLS AMG, thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber.

7
McLaren Senna

Another British manufacturer Shmee loves is McLaren. Shmee has owned several McLaren sports cars, but none of them are as revered as the Senna. Introduced in 2018, the Senna is the third addition to the McLaren Ultimate Series that includes the F1 and the P1.

McLaren built the Senna to honor legendary Formula One driver Ayrton Senna, who won several championships for the McLaren Formula One Team in the ’90s. McLaren’s focus when building the Senna was to achieve fast lap times, so they equipped it with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 blurting out 789 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque.

6
Ford GT

Shmee doesn’t own many American cars, but he owns one of the best sports cars America has ever built — the Ford GT. Shmee owns the second-generation Ford GT, which was introduced in 2016 to mark 50 years since the legendary GT40 won the 24 Hours of Le Mans — interestingly, the 2016 Ford GT also participated in the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans where it won the LM GTE-Pro class.

The second-generation Ford GT is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo Ford EcoBoost V6, rated at 660 hp and 550 lb-ft of torque. It can go from 0 to 60 in 3 seconds and has a top speed of 216 mph.

5
Ford Focus RS Heritage

Every gearhead knows about the legendary 2016 Ford Focus RS — one of the most powerful hot hatches ever and the last car that the Team RS built. However, not many have heard of the Focus RS Heritage — largely because it was built for the British market.

The Focus RS was introduced in 2018 to celebrate 50 years since the introduction of the 1968 Ford Escort, and was limited to just 50 units. It comes with a special Deep Orange paint, a black spoiler, forged aluminum wheels, black door mirrors, and gray brake calipers.

4
McLaren 675LT Spider

Another McLaren in Shmee’s collection is the awe-inspiring 675LT Spider. This car is not as special or expensive as the aforementioned Senna, but it’s still a lightweight, track-focused McLaren that can destroy almost anything on the road or track.

The 675LT Spider is based on the 650S but is powered by a high-performance variation of the 650S’ 3.8-liter twin-turbo M838T V8, generating 666 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds — 0.1 seconds faster than the base 650S.

Like many non-American gearheads, Shmee is a huge fan of muscle cars, particularly the Ford Mustang. So when he decided to buy his first-ever muscle car, he made sure it was the most powerful Mustang he could find — the Shelby GT500.

The Shelby GT500 was built to dominate the drag strip. It comes with a 5.2-liter supercharged V8, sending 760 hp and 625 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels via a Tremec seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The GT500 handles all its power effortlessly, thanks to the MagneRide system that ensures optimal grip in different driving conditions.

2
Toyota GR Yaris

After selling the Toyota GR Supra, the only Japanese car Shmee has in his collection is the Toyota GR Yaris. Looking at the GR Yaris spec sheet, it’s easy to see why it’s one of the most exciting hot hatches today.

Developed in collaboration with Toyota Gazoo Racing, the GR Yaris is a pure performance car built to celebrate Toyota’s World Rally Championship title win. It is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine developing up to 268 hp paired with motorsports-inspired technology, making it super fun to drive.

1
Porsche 718 Cayman GT4

The Cayman is incredibly popular among Porsche fans. The main attracting factor of the Cayman used to be the price, but these days people love it for its performance — particularly the top-of-the-range GT4.

The 718 Cayman GT4 can be differentiated from the base Cayman by its more aggressive bodywork, lower stance, a large new diffuser, a new front bumper, an adjustable wing, and larger side intakes. Under its hood is a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six pumping out 414 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque.
